We are home from Tennessee. The Mike & Mary Ann's wedding was absolutely beautiful. It was the most beautiful day. It was warm, sunny and not a cloud in the sky. The mountains could be seen in the distance behind the chapel. It was the perfect day...
Unfortunately, a dark cloud came upon their day. During the reception, Mary Ann's Mom and Sister rushed in, spoke to her then left abruptly. Mary Ann's father had end stage emphysema, and unfortunately could not travel due to his oxygen requirements. Sometime during the wedding, he had become unconscious, and 911 was called. Unfortunately by the time the paramedics arrived, he had died. Although he was in a bad way, this was unexpected so quickly.
So for now, I just wanted to let all of you know what had happened. It was the most beautiful day, but very heart breaking to see this happen. There was nothing anyone could do for him, or for his family.
Mike and Mary Ann were supposed to stay at their cabin until Wednesday when they are to fly back to Greece, but have instead packed up everything, heading to Bristol, Tennessee for the funeral.
Our Condolences go out to Mary Ann and her wonderful family. They are such warm and friendly people, our hearts are breaking for them.
I will post more on our vacation within a few days.
