I think I'm crazy...

Or at least my kids think I'm crazy. Then again, I think other people think I'm crazy. At work, I will say to myself out loud, "Am I crazy?" and Paul will pipe up and say, "You need to ask?" Take tonights dinner converstation with G for instance. E had eaten and left the table, D was out mowing the lawn and it was just G and I. He says, "Where are all the Buzzerts?". I reply, "Buzzert? Don't you mean Buzzards?". He fires back, "No Buzzerts. You said they were called Buzzerts". I promptly state, "I don't like it when you do that... You and E are always telling me things that I KNOW I DIDN'T SAY". G then responds with, "Are you CRAZY?!"

Yes G... Indeed I am. I am a Putterlette. (My parent's are known as The Putters, and no one is crazier than they are) Huggs and kisses Momma if you're reading this!

Thank You....

A HUGE Thank You to one of our close friends for making these note pads for us. It is an amazing gift, and truly a treasure. Thank You.

The Furminator...

Pumpkin has been shedding A LOT. To the point that he would climb up on my lap and the hair would be stuck to my face, my clothes, and basically everywhere else. He is a total lover boy and demands full attention if we are sitting down. If I'm reading, he will push his way under the book or right across the top of it, flopping his oversized body down, purring like a Harley.

Kim is a very good friend of mine. I've come to know that Kim's mom is like a walking version of Consumer Reports. Since Pumpkin was born under her deck and rescued by Kim's parents, they frequently ask how he is doing. When I told her of the shedding, she told me about....

You can find it on QVC, but once you pay for S & H, it is about the same as going to Petsmart to pick one up. The price tag is nothing to laugh about. It was $59 for the Dog brush, and $34 for the cat brush. I debated for a quick moment, then decided to take the plunge... afterall... this came with great reviews from Kim's mom.

We brought it home, and took it out of the package. K's mom's words reverberated in my head... "Don't push down too hard, or you could cut the kitty and hurt him". The thing looks like a blade with teeth, on a decent size handle.

Two strokes with THE FURMINATOR and I quickly decided this is an "outside" job. We moved Mr. Indoor kitty to the front yard. He was in his glory, wanting to walk around and scope things out, although I held on to him.

Let me tell you... OMG.... the HAIR!!! It was a bit of a windy day, which is why I went outside... the HAIR was everywhere!!! My entire front yard, albeit postage stamp size, was covered in fur!!! The FURMINATOR worked like a dream. Pumpkin seemed to enjoy it too. You just brush your pet with it as you would any other brush, and it removes all loose hair and the undercoat as well. When I pet Pumpkin now, I can actually feel his body under the fur. There is a piece or two of hair that comes off of him, but NOTHING like it was before. When you look at the pictures on their website, and you see all that hair laying in front of the animal.... THAT IS WHAT THIS THING DOES... NO JOKE!

And with that.... I am giving The Furminator my seal of approval... V

Her Big Night...

Emily & her trophy.

Monday night, Emily had her baseball banquet. Note to self... next time take vicodin to get through all the windbags that love to hear themselves talk.

She was so excited and they did give away fabulous door prizes. They also had a basket raffle. The baskets weren't as elaborate this year as they were last year, but regardless, they were still nice. We are so proud of her. She is such a little slugger.
Congratulations Magglio Juniorette!
(she holds her bat like he does).

Picking Myself Up Off the Floor

It was a l............o..............n..............g week without a desktop pc. As you remember from my earlier post, we had a little "incident". Now that the new one is home, I am completely BLOWN AWAY at how fast the thing is. We have high speed cable internet. I always thought it was so fast. Honey... that wasn't nothin! Now by the time my finger hits that second click on the mouse, WHAMMO! The page is loaded! I am so shocked that the only way I can compare this is... like having dial up internet (no offense to anyone). Not to mention, I can finally log onto the blogger from my desktop! I am so excited, relieved and now have to wipe the lipstick smooches from the tower. I have been rubbing it with a diaper all day and whispering sweet nothings into it's little processor. Oh I am so relieved to be officially back online. Internet was ok on the laptop, but... It wasn't the same. A girl needs a mouse... know what I mean?

Happy Saturday!

One Hit Wonder...

Child "A" is addicted to Full House. Since it has come on the ABC Family channel, she has been sucked in... hook, line and sinker. She has since received and purchased many of the seasons. Her collection now includes; Seasons 1, 2, 3 & 6. She can tell you who the actors are, where they were born, what they are doing now, what season each show is from. It's bizarre. Not once did she ever get into her other "obsessions ie: Dora the Explorer, Teletubbies..." this way. Now she is saving up her cash for seasons 4 & 5. She also offers that season 7 will be out in October and season 8 will be out next May. My only thoughts... what will she do with all these DVD's once her passion is exhausted?

My Own Worst Enemy...

I am that is. I am constantly busting the chops of Mel and Katrina about updating their blogs, yet I am becoming very lax in my own postings. There are a million things going on and lots to talk about, but it is so crazy here. I just had Emily's birthday sleepover last Friday. Her birthday was in MAY!

On another note... I no longer need technical assistance with our desktop computer. It is currently at Zak Computers, having the guts torn out of it, so that a very select few parts, can be installed in our new pc. After the loud bangs, flashes of lightening, and smell of smoke disappated, it was over. We should be up and running again in another couple days. I am actually quite relieved that it is over.

Until then.... cheers.

Another Gregism...

Greg is such the loverboy. He LOVES his momma and he doesn't care who is around when he feels the need to give momma a kiss or a hug. I hope this lasts FOREVER.

Rewind to yesterday evening... E & G are in the pool swimming. G feels the sudden uncontrollable urge to give momma yet another kiss. As he is paddling across the pool in is brightly colored life jacket, he tells me he's coming to love on me. I tell him... "I would LOVE a kiss, but you know... when you get out, you're going to freeze because the water is warmer than the air". With this new bit of information he promptly replies, "Good luck, Mom" and swims in the other direction.

Suffocating...

My one word to describe how hot and humid it is today. It's like someone's holding a pillow over your face. Pass the Bi-Pap please.

Hijacked

Hijacked from Katrina's blog... The Daily Ohm. People can be so negative. My feelings? Unless you experience something earth shattering, and life altering, you should try to see the positive in every day. You will be much happier in your own life, and will see the same come from other people.

Namaste

On another note... we are in need of technical assistance. Anyone wanting to help with what I think may be a minor "issue" please step forward and send us an email or a reply.
