Thanks for the comment on our blog! The houseboat trip is an absolute riot. We rent and drive the boat each year. State dock gives you a 20 minute lesson, and it's actually easier than you'd think. They don't go very fast and there is alot of lake, so you get the hang of it pretty fast.
Best trip you can take with your spouse for under $1,000 including gas, food, trip, etc. They have boats of all sizes -www.statedock.com.
